Devlog 7


Hello everyone, and welcome to this week's devlog for our project "I'm Bouncing Ball." In the last devlog, we presented one of the core mechanics of the game as well as the second level's enemy concept. Since we last updated you, we've been working on the following points:

  • Updates to the second level : While the visuals of the second level are not ready yet, we have been working on enhancing the gameplay aspect. Specifically, we've addressed multiple bugs associated with the enemy's interaction as the ball changes states. Additionally, we've been testing how the movement of the shield, as well as its size, feels to the player. These tests resulted in changes to the size, as well as changing the speed in which it follows the player's movement, creating some sort of delay to its movement.
  • New assets in preparations for the next levels: We've begun working on different elements that could be added to the next levels' terrain. These elements represent visual tiles or platforms that change the speed and bounciness of the ball. We aim to use these assets to diversify how the next levels are played out, making them more engaging and possibly more challenging.


With these new additions to our game, we hope to be able to present new finished levels in the next update. Once again, we thank you for your interest in our game and hope you stay tuned for more exciting developments in the coming devlogs.
